Jillian Noel Hennessy
Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian singer and actor. She is best known for her role as Claire Kincaid, a US prosecutor, on Law & Order for three seasons. Crossing Jordan was six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh, the main character in Crossing Jordan, lasted six seasons. She has also appeared in films such as RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted as well as the indie films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class, the latter of which she wrote and co-directed. Hennessy was raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father was a meat salesman as well as an executive in sales and marketing. His work required a lot of traveling, which meant numerous changes for the family. Maxine was her mother. She was a secretary. Her daughter was taken away by Eleanor Her paternal grandmother who lived in Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister and is a writer for a Canadian magazine and host. Hennessy has Irish and French, Swedish, Italian, and Swedish heritage from her father, and predominantly Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She would busk in the subway system of Toronto. Her sister and she made their acting debut as twin callgirls in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's sister, stated that she was shortlisted for The X-Files for Dana Scully's part. Hennessy also played the role as Dr. Marie Lazarus on RoboCop 3. In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy to play the role of Claire Kincaid assistant district attorney on Law & Order. The role was occupied for three seasons before she left the show in 1996.
